Laboratory of Morphometry
The Laboratory offers a program in structural
and developmental biology focused on the cardiovascular and
endocrine systems and the quantitative methods in morphology
with interdisciplinary research training in the following
areas: cell biology, physiology, nutrition,
pathology, pharmacology, and stereology.
Through the Scientific Initiation Program many
students begin their first research project in the lab.

Post-graduation
Department of Anatomy
In response to the
increasing challenge of postgraduate education, the
Laboratory of Morphometry has participated in the
Training Program in
Human and
Experimental Biology (Master and PhD
certificates, State
University of Rio de Janeiro). In this
program, all postdoctoral fellows in the 'lab' have
the opportunity to interact broadly with leading
experts in basic mechanisms in metabolic syndrome,
hypertension and experimental nutrition.
